Andi Eigenmann makes sure to keep her mom Jaclyn Jose close to her after the veteran actress' death.

The 33-year-old's half-brother, Gabby Eigenmann, shared in an interview with PEP that Andi and her family brought home some of Jaclyn’s cremated remains to Siargao.

"Last time, may mga maliliit kasi silang [lalagyan]. I think Andi has brought some to Siargao, tapos si Gwen has one also," the actor said, adding that Jaclyn's sister Veronica Jones also took some for herself.

"Si Ellie pala may necklace, nasa pendant niya [‘yung ashes]," he continued. According to Gabby, it is the family’s way to keep the late Jaclyn close to them wherever they are.

He added that the rest of the ashes were stored in an urn and is now in a columbarium in Quezon City.

Andi went home to Siargao after bringing her mom to her final resting place. She also brought her brother, Gwen Guck to “introduce him to island life.”

“It did not happen in the circumstance we had hoped for, but I'm glad to finally do this nonetheless,” she wrote in her Instagram post on March 25.

“Nanay never made it, but I would like to believe she lovingly watched over us from her paradise,” she added.

She also reminded her followers to love more and spend more time with family because life is uncertain.

“Look after your people. Hug them. Love them. Cherish them. Hold your loved ones close,” she wrote.

Jaclyn passed away on March 2 due to a myocardial infarction or heart attack. She is survived by her children Andi and Gwen.

During her four-decade career in showbiz, she has won the Gawad Urian, Luna Awards, and FAMAS Awards for her works. She was also named best actress at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in Brilante Mendoza's Ma' Rosa.
