Dylan Carter, who was part of the 24th season of The Voice, has died. He was only 24.

As reported by TMZ, the Colleton County coroner confirmed that the 24-year-old died of blunt force injuries from a car crash. They also ruled that Carter's death was accidental and noted that he was wearing his seatbelt at the time.

Per the coroner, Carter was in the driver's seat of a car identified by authorities as a 2026 Tesla sedan traveling southbound on Route 21 in South Carolina around 11 p.m., April 25. The vehicle went off-road and struck a pole and a fence before rolling.

The singer was rushed to a hospital but later died from his injuries.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash as the investigation remains ongoing.

Moncks County mayor Thomas Hamilton Jr. released a statement on the star's death in a Facebook post on April 26.

"Our family is heartbroken to hear about the passing of Dylan Carter in a car accident. As a gifted singer, he frequently entertained our community with his performances at Town events," he wrote. "His kindness and charm earned him immense respect, and his absence will be deeply felt."

Reba McEntyre, who served as his coach on The Voice, mourned his death in an Instagram story. "We will miss Dylan so much.
He was a brilliant, kind, and talented young man who brought a huge ray of sunshine to The Voice. Rest in peace, my dear friend."

Carter appeared on The Voice Season 24 in 2023. He had a four-chair turn from the judges after singing Whitney Houston's I Look to You in the blind auditions.
