"Convocation Day, Graduation with Distinction, Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Thank You Jesus," she captioned her post.

On her Instagram reel, Quigaman shared a video of her receiving her diploma on stage, and photos with her family, friends, and co-graduates at Langara College in Vancouver, Canada.

In a separate post, Quigaman looked back on her journey towards the diploma, which she described as a "beautiful result of every sacrifice and challenge we’ve faced and overcome by His grace."

"Our family has always prayed that God would lead us to a place where we could be closer to one another and to Him—wherever that may be, no matter how difficult the path. Today, as I attended my convocation ceremony, we also celebrate His goodness and faithfulness. I’m teary-eyed typing this, because today is the beautiful result of every sacrifice and challenge we’ve faced and overcome by His grace," she wrote.

She then shared that while leaving behind her and his husband, Marco Alcaraz's career in the Philippines wasn't an easy decision, they "chose to follow a dream that had been in our hearts long before our boys were born."

"God has not only answered that prayer—He has done far more than we could have imagined, and He continues to work in us and through us," Lara added. "We’re so thankful to God for carrying us through every step. All this is because of Him. To Him alone belongs all glory, honor, and praise. Thank You, Jesus!"

After studying for a year at UST, Quigaman's education continued internationally, following her mother's nursing career. She first attended school in Bahrain before graduating from Filton College in Britain with a National Vocational Qualification in Media Productions and Communication.

In 2022, she recalled her college days when she used to commute from Biñan, Laguna, to the UST in España and had only “the exact amount of money for a meal, and enough money to get to school and back home.”

“So I used to hide my pamasahe in my socks or bra [in case] ‘ma hold-up’ ang jeep na sinasakyan ko eh makakauwi pa rin ako,” she said.

Lara and Marco first tied the knot in a civil wedding ceremony in Vancouver in 2011. The two officially moved to Canada in January of this year with their three kids, Noah, Tobias, and Moses.
