The countdown to Miss Earth 2023 coronation intensifies! Yllana Aduana of the Philippines impresses, claiming a Top 8 spot in the Best Bikini category.

The 25-year-old beauty queen is one of the top two delegates for the Asia and Oceania continental group. This feat enabled her to secure more votes in round two of voting which was held from Dec. 16 at 11 p.m. to Dec. 17 at the same time (GMT+7).

Joining her in the lineup are delegates from Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Venezuela, Paraguay, Bulgaria, and the Netherlands.

The Laguna-born beauty queen is also among the top five candidates who made it to the “Miss People’s Choice” category. You can still help her secure the award as well as enter the semifinals by voting on the website until Dec. 22, 6 p.m. GMT+7 (7 p.m. Philippine time).

This year’s Miss Earth will be on Dec. 22 and will be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City’s largest convention center in Vietnam.

The prestigious competition will see Mina Sue Choi, who made history as the first beauty queen from South Korea to win the title, crown her next successor.

Yllana vies for the country’s fifth Miss Earth crown following Karen Ibasco’s win in 2017. Other Filipinas who brought home the crown are Karla Henry who first won the crown in 2008, followed by Jamie Herell in 2014, and Angelia Ong in 2015.
