PH's Yllana Aduana lands in Miss Earth 2023's Top 5 Best Appearance
Things are off to a good start for the Philippines' Yllana Aduana, as she made it to Miss Earth 2023's Top 5 Best Appearance.
In a recent Facebook post, Miss Earth revealed the five finalists who will have their Miss People's Choice voting points doubled for a day last Dec. 9. Alongside Yllana, delegates from Mongolia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Cambodia will compete for the title.
The winner of the Best Appearance award will be announced on Dec. 12, while the Miss People's Choice winner automatically qualifies for the semi-finals.
To vote for Yllana, visit the Miss Earth voting site, enter 'Philippines' in the search bar, and click 'Vote.'
Voting packages start from $3 (P166) for 15 points to $499 (P27,721) for 2,800 points.
Yllana recently wowed the audience at the preliminary evening gown competition at the Saigon Opera House wearing a Ken Batino gown made of recycled zippers.
According to the designer, the gown "exemplifies the eventual consummation of the divide between plans of saving our mother earth and putting those plans into action. It takes more than just a woman to achieve a lasting balance and sustainability [on] this Earth."
The Miss Earth 2023 coronation night is slated for Dec. 22 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, where Yllana will vye for the fifth Miss Earth crown, after Karla Paula Henry (2008), Jamie Herrell (2014), Angelia Ong (2015), and Karen Ibasco (2017).
