Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi ties the knot in intimate wedding
Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi is now a missus!
The South African beauty queen delighted her fans when she revealed on her social media pages that she has exchanged "I do's" with her boyfriend Luthando Bolowana.
In the pictures, the two could be seen holding each other close in their stunning wedding attires, with Tunzi wearing a floor-sweeping white gown filled with organza flowers as well as glittering stones and beads.
Another photo showed the two of them being cheered on by their guests as they walked down the aisle after the ceremony.
"I love you endlessly... husband," Tunzi simply wrote in the caption, accompanied by an emoji of a heart and a smiley face crying happy tears.
The two had their wedding at the gorgeous Belair Pavillion venue in the Cape Winelands.
While they have been mostly private about their relationship, they gave a glimpse of their love story through their online wedding website, per Sowetan Live.
Bolowana described himself as a "very relaxed, loving, and outgoing person" who treasures his time with Tunzi.
"I love spending quality time with my wife. She is a homebody, so I enjoy having movie nights with her. The Marvel universe is our go-to and our favorite show to watch is Game of Thrones," he wrote.
"I also love that we can spend time talking about anything and everything. From passionate debates when we feel differently about things, to seeing eye to eye and agreeing about a lot of things. We complement each other in so many aspects. We are equally ambitious and share the drive to succeed in life. Success in our marriage, in our other interpersonal relationships and our careers," he added.
Tunzi, on the other hand, shared that her favorite thing to do at home is hanging out with her now-husband and making him watch whatever latest reality show she has discovered.
"I am also trying to get him to share my love for anime but he keeps calling it cartoons, so there’s no progress there yet. It’s okay though because I also struggle to get through a game of football with him," she wrote.
"I cherish all our time together, whether we’re tussling over the TV remote or sitting, chatting and laughing till the wee hours of the morning. I love all of it because we’re together," she highlighted.
Tunzi was crowned with the Miss Universe title in 2019, succeeding the reign of the Philippines' Catriona Gray. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, she became the longest-reigning Miss Universe titleholder.
