Kim Chiu says she's open to working with ex Xian Lim again
Months after their breakup, Kim Chiu said she's not opposed to working with her ex Xian Lim again.
The actress talked about the possibility of reuniting for projects with her former boyfriend in an interview with 24 Oras' Cata Tibayan during the It's Showtime contract signing with GMA.
"Okay lang naman," Kim said. "Mag-guest siya sa Showtime or mag-prod sila or something. Okay naman, 'di naman kami magkaaway or something."
The former couple worked on different teleseryes and movies together, including Bride For Rent, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?, Always, My Binondo Girl, and Love Thy Woman.
Kim and Xian confirmed their breakup in December 2023 after nearly 12 years together.
The actress recently admitted that her heart was "a little empty" following their split.
"Medyo mahirap siya and you just have to accept siguro 'yung mga bagay na wala ka nang control," she told Vicki Belo in an interview. "You cannot push yourself sa isang bagay na not in the same wavelength."
Kim was also asked about Xian being romantically linked to film producer Iris Lee after their breakup, to which she said, "Hindi ko alam, doc. Wala akong idea."
In her GMA interview, the It's Showtime host also said that her heart is open to love if it comes and that she's currently focusing on work. "Open naman 'yung heart ko. For now I enjoy muna my time being myself... Bonus na siguro kung may kumakalabit d'yan na love."
Aside from hosting the noontime show, Kim also starred in the new What's Wrong with Secretary Kim Philippine adaptation on Viu.
Meanwhile, Xian talked about love during his guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda where he described it as "very painful" and "magical" feeling.
"I think that’s what love does to you but at a certain point, love disappears, and I think, doon na magiging choice ang pagmamahalan,” he said.
