Published Jan 21, 2025 8:05 pm

Jodi Sta. Maria dream of bringing quality mental health services to all, and she's about to make it happen.

The Lavender Fields star on Tuesday, Jan. 21 shared about her latest milestone on social media, describing the past few days as "transformative, educational and informative."

Jodi revealed that she underwent Interpersonal Psychotherapy Level A training, which was not only to gain tools to help others heal but also about personal growth and self-awareness.

"I walk away with a deeper understanding of my own connections," she said.

She thanked the doctors, psychologists, and counselors who helped her along the way by sharing their stories and expertise.

"Your insights made this experience truly unforgettable," continued Jodi, who expressed gratitude to Makati Medical Center’s Mood and Anxiety Resource and Referral Center and the Interpersonal Psychotherapy Institute.

"Dr. Scott Stuart, your expertise and passion were truly inspiring—it was a privilege to learn from you," she added. "This has been an enriching and humbling experience that I will carry with me always. Really looking forward to put what I have learned into practice."

Earlier this year, Jodi revealed that she would take a short break from showbusiness to study after the last episode of Lavender Fields drops on Jan. 24.

"For now, I am taking on a short break. I'm embarking on something new. To be revealed yan. This year, I'm also taking up my master's in clinical psychology," she told reporters, adding that she wants to focus on family and marriage therapy.

Jodi continued to say that she wants to do and be more than just an actress.

"Minsan naiisip ko na as a human being, I can do so much more. Kumbaga parang meron pang life outside showbusiness. Naisip ko na I'm an actor and I can still put on another hat."

In 2021, Jodi earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Southville International School and Colleges in Las Piñas City. She juggled her studies with work and being a mom to her son Thirdy.
