Jam Ignacio accused of physically assaulting fiancée Jellie Aw
Trigger warning: This article contains accounts of violence.
Disc jockey Jellie Aw has accused her fiancé Jam Ignacio of physically assaulting her.
DJ Jellie took to her social media pages early morning of Wednesday, Feb. 12 to share photos of her swollen and bruised-up face after allegedly being beaten by Jam, ex-boyfriend of TV host Karla Estrada.
“HAPPY VALENTINES? T**na mo Jam Ignacio mapapatay moko wala akong ginawang masamA para ganituhin moko halos mamatay ako sa ginawa mo! Papalukong kita!” Jellie wrote in the caption.
Her sister, Jo Aw, detailed the incident, saying Jam suddenly beat up Jellie in a locked car.
“Bigla na lang pinag sasapak, binugbog habang pauwi ate ko, walang kalaban laban sa loob ng nakalock na sasakyan,” Jo wrote.
“Una sa lahat kung ano man ginawa ng ate ko wala kang ni anong karapatan dampian ng kamay yung ate ko. Ang kapal naman ng mukha mo ‘Jam [I]gnacio,’” she continued, also claiming that Ignacio took away Jellie’s phone which made her unable to call for help.
Jo added that Jellie was only able to cry for help when they were at a toll gate. Jellie then got a medical checkup before they filed a police report.
Just a few hours before Jellie’s recent posts, it can be seen on her Instagram story that she went to a nail salon together with Jam.
Jam and Jellie got engaged in November last year after four months of dating.
Jam previously dated Karla from 2019 until their breakup last year. In her guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Karla revealed he is her only ex she is not friends with.
“Lahat, friends ko lahat ang exes ko, ito pa lang (Jam) iyong ex na hindi pa. But I think naman magiging kaibigan ko iyan eventually. Ang pagpapatawad ay hindi naman (nagagawa) overnight,” she said.
Jam has yet to publicly address the issue as of writing. PhilSTAR L!fe has also reached out to him for comment but has yet to receive a reply.
