LOOK: Dennis Padilla greets children with Marjorie Barretto a Happy New Year

Dennis Padilla had a simple yet sweet New Year greeting for his children with his former wife, actress Marjorie Barretto. 

The comedian shared his 2023 greeting for his kids on Instagram on Sunday, Jan. 1, where he can be seen posing with a card that says “Happy New Year 2023! Love you all! Dani, Julia, Claui, Leon. From: Papa.” 

He also wrote in the caption of his post: “Happy New Year, mga anak. Praying for more blessings 2023. Labyu all.” 

Julia, Claudia, and Leon are Dennis’ children with Marjorie. Dani, meanwhile, is the latter’s child with actor Kier Legaspi.

In June 2022, Dennis expressed his frustration over his children for forgetting to greet him on Father’s Day. Leon later revealed via an open letter that he and his sisters have been trying to fix their relationship in private and that they get hurt when Dennis chooses to share his concerns about them on social media.

In an interview with Karen Davila in September, Julia said that she’s not yet ready to open herself to Dennis again as there’s “a lot of fear” inside her. The actress, however, noted she won’t deny forgiveness to her father when the time comes. 

Dennis and Marjorie ended their relationship in 2007. Later on, their three children decided to change their surname from Padilla to Barretto.
