Bea Alonzo reveals she once thought of dating John Lloyd Cruz in real life: 'It's inevitable'
It looks like the Bea-John Lloyd fever is here to stay!
In her latest YouTube vlog, Bea Alonzo revealed that dating her OG love team partner John Lloyd Cruz once crossed her mind.
The topic was brought up when the Kapuso actress asked David Licauco whether he has thought of being with the other half of BarDa—Barbie Forteza—in real life. While he answered “no,” the lie detector result showed otherwise.
“I’m sure it’s inevitable. Kami ni John Lloyd, we were never romantically involved, but of course, sometimes naiisip ko 'yun na ‘Oo nga no? Paano nga kaya?’” the 35-year-old said.
Citing the current situation of the BarDa love team and Barbie’s romantic relationship with actor Jak Roberto, Bea noted that while celebrities like her have thought of dating their onscreen partner in real life, it doesn’t always mean that they will actually do so.
“It doesn’t mean that you will act on it or upon it, ‘di ba? Parang, it [just] makes you think too,” she added.
John Lloyd and Bea are best known for their roles in One More Chance (2007) and its sequel A Second Chance (2015) as well as The Mistress (2012), among others.
The two made their much-awaited comeback and brought kilig to fans in 2021 with their commercial for a fast-food chain dubbed One True Pair. They also had a live script reading of That Thing Called Tadhana in 2020, with Bea as Mace and John Lloyd as Anthony.
