‘I’m so proud of you’: Marjorie Barretto sends love to Julia amid viral issue with Dennis Padilla
Marjorie Barretto expressed her pride and love for her child Julia amid the latter’s current issue with her father Dennis Padilla.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Sept. 18, the mompreneur shared a snap of her daughter along with a heart-tugging caption. “Dearest Jul, I love you with the kind of love that you can trust. Love that you can depend on, and the kind that will protect you and never betray you,” she began.
“Maybe you need to hear this today… I am so proud of you, Juli. I am so blessed to be able to call you my child,” Marjorie added.
As they go back into their “family bubble” and “shut off the noise outside,” the mom of five said they are “choosing to be grateful for the good things” that they have. “Remember Jul, God is all knowing,” she continued.
In an interview with journalist Karen Davila released on Sept. 15, Julia admitted that she’s still not ready to open herself to her father again as there’s still “so much fear” inside her. “I’m just really scared ‘cause over the years, I feel like it’s been a cycle of making up and then getting hurt. And I kinda just want to… huminga lang muna from that cycle,” she told Karen. “I just need more love. More protection. I just feel like he has to be my number one protector and that’s not what I’m getting. It hurt. It’s sad.”
In a series of now-deleted posts on Instagram, Dennis reacted to the things her daughter said about their relationship. “Sobra kayo. Ano itong mga kwento mo kay Karen?” he said as he expressed some ill feelings on Julia’s viral statements. “Ang buong buhay ko, ang halaga katumbas lang ng isang kotse mo, Julia. Ano pang revenge ang gusto n’yong gawin? Lahat ng blessings nasa inyo na, humingi ako ng apology sa mga pagkukulang ko, ano pa gusto n’yo?”
Dennis asked Karen to “be fair to all” and requested an interview with the latter. “Maraming mali sa alam ni Julia. Waiting sa reply mo. Thank you,” he said. Karen said she had texted Dennis back about his request.
Julia and her two siblings Claudia and Leon got estranged from their father after the latter’s separation from Marjorie in 2007. Later on, their three children decided to change their surname from Padilla to Barretto.
