Dennis Padilla aired his ill feelings about the things that his daughter Julia Barretto said about their relationship in her now-viral interview with journalist Karen Davila.

In a series of deleted Instagram posts, the TV comedian asked Karen to get his side of the story as he underscored that there were many flaws in Julia's statements about him.

"Please be fair to all, you need to interview me. Maraming mali sa alam ni Julia, waiting sa reply mo, thank you," he wrote.

In a YouTube video that aired on Sept. 15, Julia confessed that she is not yet ready to open herself to her father again, adding that there's still "so much fear" inside her.

"I'm just really scared 'cause over the years I feel like it's been a cycle of making up and then getting hurt. And I kinda just want to... huminga lang muna from that cycle," Julia said.

She continued, "I just need more love. More protection. I just feel like he has to be my number one protector and that’s not what I’m getting. It hurt. It's sad."

Dennis went on to publish more posts on his IG account about his wounded feelings from his daughter's words.

"Ako ang dapat takbuhan mo Julia. I defended you pero nagalit pa kayo sa akin. Sobra kayo. Ano itong mga kwento mo kay Karen?" he wrote in a photo caption where she tagged Julia and his other children.

"Ang buong bahay ko, ang halaga katumbas lang ng isang kotse mo Julia, ano pang revenge ang gusto n’yong gawin? Lahat ng blessings nasa inyo na, humingi ako ng apology sa mga pagkukulang ko, ano pa gusto n’yo?"

In the comment section of one of his posts, Karen responded to Dennis' request and said she had texted him back.

Julia got estranged from her father after his separation from his former wife Marjorie, with whom he shares two other children Claudia and Leon. Shortly after, the siblings changed their surname from Padilla to Barretto.
