Kylie Padilla on rekindling romance with Aljur Abrenica: 'No thanks'
Kylie Padilla is not interested in getting back together with her ex-husband, Aljur Abrenica, saying that she and their kids are “good” by themselves.
The actress commented on the possibility of rekindling their romance on Tuesday, Oct. 1 when she posted a short clip of her and their children, Alas and Axl, whom she referred to as the “two angels of [her] life.”
“It’s children’s month and I would love any reason to celebrate the two angels of my life,” she wrote, she went on to share the sweet gestures her kids made for her; Alas who got her glass of water when he noticed she didn’t have her usual cup of water by her side table, and Axl who “is still [her] shadow continues to follow me around everywhere and keeps telling me he wants to breastfeed again.”
“Who knew I would find my soulmates in my two boys hearts. We are the three musketeers for life,” she concluded.
In the comments section of her post, a social media user expressed their hope for her and Aljur to become a couple again, writing “Sana magkabalikan po kayo ng tatay nila” with a crying face emoji. To which, Kylie replied, “No thanks. We good.”
Kylie and Aljur separated in 2021, almost three years after tying the knot in 2018. In April 2023, Aljur admitted that he cheated on Kylie, which ended their marriage.
In her guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda in November 2023, the actress revealed her biggest lesson from their relationship. "Medyo cliché eh, but I wish nagtira ako para sa sarili ko," she shared, "kasi I gave my all talaga."
Kylie added that despite what happened, she still has no regrets about being with Aljur. She also said that their kids have maintained a good relationship with him even after their split.
The two have been in separate romantic relationships since. Aljur is now with AJ Raval, while Kylie confirmed last July that she’s currently in a relationship with a non-showbiz guy.
