'May pagkakamali ako': Aljur Abrenica admits cheating on ex-wife Kylie Padilla
Aljur Abrenica admitted to cheating on his ex-wife Kylie Padilla—even as he said that he also got cheated on in the past.
In a Toni Talks episode uploaded on YouTube on April 2, host Toni Gonzaga directly asked Abrenica about his alleged infidelity toward Padilla which led to the end of their marriage.
“Yeah, totoo naman, totoo naman iyon. On my part, oo," he said. "Ina-admit ko iyon, may pagkakamali ako."
Abrenica added that his "biggest mistake" was that he failed to allot enough time to Padilla and their kids when they're still together.
Noting he and Padilla did everything to save their marriage, Abrenica said it just wasn't meant to be.
“Hindi na talaga magwo-work. Mare-realize mo na, 'I have to accept.' Kasi hindi na talaga," he said.
Gonzaga also asked Abrenica if he already cried over a girl, to which he said many times. Without naming anybody, he dropped the bombshell that a former partner had likewise been unfaithful to him.
"Ang sakit, sobrang painful. It breaks you," he said. "Naalala ko na parang there's no life, hindi ka na magising nang maaga."
"A part of you dies. Iyong worth mo, mawawala. It's just the worst talaga," he added.
Abrenica and Padilla got married in 2018. They have two children together.
In July 2021, Padilla announced that they're no longer together. Abrenica was immediately linked to starlet AJ Raval, as they starred in the VivaMax movie Nerisa, which was released in the same month.
Raval was accused of being a third party, which she strongly denied. Even Padilla herself clarified later on that Raval had nothing to do with the breakup.
Abrenica and Raval went Instagram official last Valentine's Day.
In late February, Padilla said she and Abrenica are still finalizing their annulment. They're already on good terms, she said, and have agreed to co-parent their kids.
Padilla, who is also reportedly seeing another man, said she's happy for Abrenica and Raval.
