Catriona Gray on new romance rumors: 'Happy lang ako'
Is Catriona Gray in love again?
In a recent interview with ABS-CBN's entertainment reporter MJ Felipe, the Miss Universe 2018 titleholder talked about rumors that she is currently dating a non-showbiz man.
“Medyo bago pa lang… Yeah, happy lang ako,” Gray shared during Hayden Kho’s birthday celebration last week.
The beauty queen admitted to being scared of falling in love again after a previous relationship that nearly led to the altar.
“A little scary, yeah. I think it’s a little scary to open up yourself again. But I feel I healed in the right way. I took my time. And siguro I’m just enjoying it, yeah,” she said.
Gray preferred to remain mum on other details, saying, "It's really nice to just have just something private."
At a recent fashion event, Gray was also asked by PEP.ph about her love life, which, she said, is just "for me."
"Yeah, I'm happy. I'm doing well," she said.
When asked if she has a new boyfriend, she simply replied, "And I'm happy. That's all I'm gonna say."
Gray dated Filipino-German actor and model Clint Bondad from 2012 until they separated in 2019.
She and actor Sam Milby went public with their relationship in 2020 and later announced their engagement in February 2023.
Milby confirmed their engagement was called off in 2025, following split rumors that surfaced in February 2024. He did not disclose the reason at the time, but noted that there was no third party involved.
