Is the 'feud' over? Heart Evangelista, Marian Rivera follow each other on Instagram, and fans are living for it
Is this the beginning of a beautiful friendship between Heart Evangelista and Marian Rivera?
The two GMA powerhouses recently sent the internet abuzz when eagle-eyed fans noticed that they are now following each other on Instagram.
Although it is unclear who followed whom first, the surprise development nonetheless pleased fans who have been eager for the two celebrities to interact, after years of rumors that they had a feud.
"Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista are here to maximize their joint slay! Come through, kweens!" one social media user wrote on X. "Sa wakas tapos na yung feud and 'civil war' nila. I’m happy they’re now [on] good terms."

They added, "I’ve said it many times before, but they have so many things in common. I hope that misunderstanding and stan wars finally is put to rest. They’re both beautiful, accomplished, and stylish women. We don’t need to pit them against each other."
The 'feud'
Marian and Heart last shared a project together through the 2011 comedy film Temptation Island, in which they starred with Rufa Mae Quinto, Lovi Poe, and Solenn Heussaff. It was in this year that rumors of a rift between them started circulating, brought about by how the two of them expressed interest in getting paired with each other's partners.
At the time, Heart was in a relationship with Daniel Matsunaga, while Marian was dating her now-husband Dingdong Dantes.
The rift became bigger when Heart’s mother, Cecile Ongpauco, allegedly confronted Marian at the airport with a team of bodyguards and yelled at Marian to stay away from her daughter.
A month later during a press conference, Marian broke down as she recalled the incident. She said that she and Heart were okay, so she was surprised by what happened.
Heart and her mother held a separate press conference saying it wasn't true and that those were airport security, not bodyguards.
GMA later released a statement, saying that the issue between their two stars is a "personal one" and that they were asked to "put this unpleasant issue to rest."
Since then, the two stars have not been seen together.
While it was reported that they quietly settled their issue during the Dolphy Tribute Special in 2012, fans continued to pit the two actresses against each other, comparing their magazine covers, Dolce & Gabbana shirts, and calendar posters.
Queens stanning queens
Despite Marian and Heart's simple but delightful interaction on Instagram, it was not the first time that the pair showed support for each other online. Marian previously shared a photo of Heart on her Instagram story from a post by a local magazine.
