Jennylyn Mercado shares she has a frozen embryo in Texas

Jennylyn Mercado has revealed she has a frozen embryo in storage in Texas. 

At a May 7 press conference for a brand, the actress-singer told the media that she and her husband actor Dennis Trillo are making the most of their time with their four-year-old daughter Dylan. 

"Sa ngayon, ine-enjoy pa kasi namin si Dylan. Gusto namin siyang tutukan. Mas maganda naka-focus kami sa kanya. Kasi mga kuyas niya, mga binata na," she said.

Her son with Patrick Garcia, Alex Jazz, is 17. Dennis Trillo's son, Calix, with Carlene Aguilar, is 18. 

When Beautederm CEO Rei Anicoche Tan asked Mercado if there were plans to add another child to the household, Mercado was optimistic. 

"Magfo-forty na nga ako, ano, ate. 'Di ko pa alam. Pero kung ibibigay, bakit hindi?" she replied. “Kung ibibigay ni Lord, bakit hindi?”

"Meron pa talaga isang boy na buo na [embryo], nasa Texas. So kung maisipan ko man, siguro siya na lang," she revealed. "Kasi sabi [ng embryo], 'Ano ba 'yan, napag-iwanan na ako. Nauna pa si Dylan sa akin. Nauna ako sa kanya."

With their boys old enough to have their own activities, Mercado shared that she and Trillo have more time to focus on their daughter.

As for the upcoming Mother's Day, Mercado's wish was practical and simple. 

“Wala na akong hinihiling pa kundi maging malusog, ahhmm humaba pa ang buhay ko para makasama ko pa ang mga anak ko," she said. "Huwag kaming magkakasakit dahil napakaimportante ng health para magawa ko pa lahat ng mga kailangan kong gawin para sa sarili ko, sa trabaho ko, at sa pamilya ko.”

Mercado and Trillo got married in a low-key civil ceremony on Nov. 15, 2021 in Quezon City. They are currently building their dream house.
