JK Labajo pens sweet letter to Dia Maté after winning crown: 'My queen since day one'
JK Labajo took pride in his girlfriend, Dia Maté after winning the Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas crown.
In his Instagram post, the singer expressed his appreciation to Dia, who was among the winners at the recently concluded Miss World Philippines 2024.
“I have seen how you've gone through all the challenges and difficulties of the pageantry world with grace and elegance and I couldn't be any prouder,” he began in his caption, sharing the photo of Dia wearing the crown during the coronation night.
“You have been my queen since day one and the only difference now is that you're wearing the crown that you so deserve. This is just the beginning,” he added.
“To my sweet baby with the kindest heart and a smile that lights up my world, congratulations! I love you,” he concluded his post.
For her part, Dia earlier expressed her gratitude to the Buwan singer in a separate post.
“To JK, thank you for always being there and keeping me sane and calm during this journey. You’ve done so much for me. Thank you for being my sidekick and ray of light. I am truly grateful. Your love and support are priceless. I love you,” she wrote.
JK “hard launched” their romance on Instagram on Valentine’s Day.
Before her Miss World Philippines stint, Dia also competed at Miss Universe Philippines in May but failed to secure a spot in the top 20. She won one sponsored award and was among the top 5 candidates in the swimsuit challenge.
She is now vying for the Philippines’ second Reina Hispanoamericana crown at the international competition. The date and venue have yet to be announced.
