Pete Davidson paid P11.6 million on 'years-long' tattoo removal

American comedian and actor Pete Davidson has reportedly spent a whopping $200,000 (P11.6 million) to reverse some of his tattoos.

"He just woke up one day and wanted them gone, and it’s been a years-long process," an insider told PEOPLE Magazine

Likewise, another source also told the media outlet that the tattoo removal marks a "fresh start" for the Saturday Night Live alum.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Today, Davidson recalled how painful the tattoo removal process has been as part of the promotion of his new movie adaptation of author Dav Pilkey’s bestselling book, Dog Man.

"It’s pretty terrible, so if anybody out there is watching and thinking about getting a tattoo, make sure you really want to get it," he said.

In a recent interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he said the ink on his body is "almost gone." He also shared that he likely had around 200 tattoos.

"I was a sad boy. It was a weird time. I don't know, everybody was getting tattoos like five years ago," he said.

Davidson's tattoos ranged from tributes to past girlfriends, including Kim Kardashian, and a portrait of Hillary Clinton.

In case you missed it, the 30-year-old actor revealed in 2020 that he decided to remove his tattoos to "pursue more jobs" in the future and wanted to change his appearance as part of his decision to get sober.

"I got sober and I saw myself in the mirror and I was like, ‘Nah. Who that?' I was like, 'I got to change it up a little bit.'" he said

"I honestly never thought that I would get an opportunity to act and I love it a lot," Davidson underscored during a May 2021 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Davidson began his career in 2010, portraying roles on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Friends of the People, Guy Code, and Wild 'n Out

In 2014, he became a cast member on the NBC late-night sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live, which he starred in for eight seasons until 2022.

He also previously starred in The King of Staten Island, Bodies Bodies Bodies, and The Suicide Squad.
