Get your scrunchies ready: Heathers: The Musical is hitting the Philippine stage in 2027!

GMG Productions will bring the acclaimed production to The Theatre at Solaire in January 2027, after the show took over New York, London, and Australia.

Heathers: The Musical follows the story of Veronica Sawyer, a high school student navigating the ruthless social hierarchy of Westerberg High. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she is accepted into the school’s most influential clique, the Heathers, giving her the popularity and recognition she has always wanted. The musical is based on the 1989 movie of the same name, which starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater.

When Veronica meets J.D., a rebellious and mysterious new student, she becomes caught up in his dangerous schemes against the school’s social elite. She later finds herself in a series of disturbing events, forcing her to face the consequences of her choices and find the courage to stand against the toxic culture surrounding her.

Filipina actress Gerardine Sacdalan, who is currently playing Veronica in the UK production, will star in the Manila staging.

"[H]appy September 1st Heathers day! [A]n emotional announcement as we're heading to my homeland with this juggernaut of a show—this life is really not real," Sacdalan wrote on her Instagram story.

The musical is currently playing at Off-Broadway’s New World Stages. In London, the show completed a 52-performance engagement at The Arts at Marble Arch in London’s West End from July 9 to Aug. 22, 2026. It then embarked on a national tour across the UK and Ireland, opening at Theatre Royal Windsor on Aug. 26.

Heathers: The Musical will be staged at The Theatre at Solaire from Jan. 21 to Feb. 7, 2027. Sign up for the waitlist via this page to get early access to tickets.

Note that the show is open to ages 14 and up and will contain flashing lights, loud noises, and theatrical haze.
