Vicki Belo, 66, reacts to viral 33-year-old photo: 'I've spent 30 years trying to get rid of these pictures'
Celebrity doctor Vicki Belo had a wholesome reaction to an Instagram pop culture account that posted her photo from 33 years ago.
User @90skabaklaan, which boasts 98,700 followers and shares nostalgic Pinoy celebrity photos, shared a photo of Belo’s appearance in Metro Magazine’s September 1990 issue last Nov. 26.
Her clinic was then called Intelligent Skincare and was located at Legaspi Village in Makati.
Belo caught wind of the post and, in the comments section, invited the account owner to pay a visit to her Bonifacio Global City clinic.
“Grabe ang Galing mo. Where did you find this picture buling Tuloy ako. What’s your beauty wish this Christmas? Come to belo bgc ( where I mostly go) so I can make your wish come true,” she wrote in the post.
Belo also created a reaction video about the unexpected throwback on Instagram last Nov. 29, saying she didn’t want to do it but her social media manager insisted.
"I've spent 30 years trying to get rid of these pictures, but @90skabaklaan found it," she said. "I don't know how you guys did it, so pardon me na lang po. Please try to understand.”
Belo, through a green screen, then shared the photo as she presented her old looks to her followers with pride.
“I guess this proves that Belo really works,” she said, “because this is me today, double my age, from 33 to 66.”
In the caption, she also wondered how the account got hold of the photo as she used a laughing face emoji.
"Grabe The '90s Kabaklaan saan n'yo 'to nahukay?” she wrote.
In a more solemn tone, Belo noted how she “grew up really conscious” about herself, prompting her to become a dermatologist and establish her own clinic.
“Belo Beauty is my brainchild to help those who felt like I did feel their best in their own skin," she said.
Belo is the chief executive officer and medical director of Belo Medical Group, which has 15 clinics in the country.
Her clientele mostly comprises celebrities. She also gives beauty advice to the public in her vlogs.
