Kate Middleton conquers Britain's three highest mountains under 24 hours
Kate Middleton, who's in cancer remission, has successfully climbed Britain's three highest mountains.
The Princess of Wales took to her Instagram account to share that she had taken on the "National Three Peaks Challenge," which involves climbing the highest summits in the country under 24 hours. These are Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales.
According to ThreePeaksChallenge.uk, the three peaks consist of a 23-mile hike with a total ascent of 10,052 feet.
After completing the challenge all by herself, Middleton commemorated her achievement by posing for a pic at the summit of Ben Nevis.
In the caption, the princess took the time to reflect on her cancer journey and why she decided to take on the grueling challenge.

"Cancer doesn’t just affect the body. It changes how you think and feel and profoundly affects every aspect of life. I know this personally, and that the journey through and beyond treatment requires more than medicine alone," she began.
"I have taken on the National Three Peaks Challenge, not simply as a physical endeavour but as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back," she continued. "Through this challenge, I want to raise awareness for the deeper impact of serious illness and the importance of holistic healthcare."
Middleton highlighted how "every individual is different," and because of this, there must be a "whole person approach to care [enabling] those living through cancer to manage the deeply personal challenge of diagnosis."
"Holistic therapies complement clinical pathways and support patients’ ability to maintain their wellbeing, resilience and quality of life during an exceptionally difficult time," she said.
"We have an opportunity to reshape what the future of holistic cancer care looks like, enabling more people, nationwide, to access the kind of personalised support that can help make a meaningful difference during and after medical treatment," she added.
Middleton noted the National Three Peaks Challenge will support the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which helps transform access to and understanding of holistic care that will enhance recovery and healing for patients across the UK.
"Healing, whether personal or collective, is not just about fixing what is wrong. It is about finding balance in how we live," she underscored.
"In the end, bravery isn’t just about pushing forward. It is about knowing how to stay grounded, connected, and present, no matter the terrain or landscape you are walking," she ended.
Middleton announced that she was battling an unspecified cancer in March 2024, lamenting how the diagnosis was a "huge shock" to her and her husband, Prince William.
After beginning preventative chemotherapy, she confirmed a year later that she is in remission from cancer and has been doing her best to remain healthy.
