On March 7, Bretman shared a video on Instagram containing snippets of his recent book signing event, which evidently turned out to be a success and, in turn, made him look back on his roots.

“This is all because of a little Filipino Bakla that dreamed he was gonna be artista one day, And he was going to make it happen one way or another,” he captioned his post.

“That little boy planted so many seeds for me so that I can flourish today and I’m forever doing everything for him and because of him,” he said, adding, “I’m literally in tears every morning that I’ve been here this week, im home, this is home and it will forever be HOME.”

“Thank you for everything Philippines you have changed my life forever.. YOURE THAT BITCH ALWAYS AND FOREVER.”

Filipino celebrities such as Mimiyuuuh and Bianca Gonzales fangirled in the comments.

“DA BADDEST FOR EVER!!!!!” Mimiyuuuh wrote.

While Bianca said, “Smiling ear to ear watching this.” Bianca recently shared her fangirling moment with the content creator following their interview.

Bretman has always been proud of his Filipino roots. He has featured various Filipino food in his vlogs, which includes an episode titled Cooking Adobo with my Mother.

He also enoys snacking on Filipino street foods like fishballs and kwek-kwek, as seen in his Instagram Story on March 6.

Bretman Rock's new book You're That Bitch: & Other Cute Lessons About Being Unapologetically Yourself tackles his life starting from his childhood until becoming the content creator that he is today. He opened up his life in the Philippines by watching his favorite Filipino shows Maria Clara, Super Inggo,  ASAP and It's Showtime.

"I feel like every Pinoy has dreamed of being an artista someday," he said. "I was such a delusional kid. So yeah, I always thought I was an artista even if I wasn't," he shared during the press conference.
