Taylor Lautner and wife Tay welcome first baby—here's what they named her
Twilight alum Taylor Lautner is officially a dad!
On Sept. 24, the actor and his wife, Tay Lautner, announced that they welcomed their first child on Sept. 16.
In the joint post, they shared a faceless photo of their little one and revealed her name, which is also a nod to the couple's matching monikers: Lennon Taylor Lautner, or Lenny for short.
"One week loving our sweet little Lenny," Tay wrote in the caption.
Several celebrities celebrated the new addition to their family, including some of Taylor's Twilight co-stars.
"Oh be still my heart. Congratulations to you both, I'm so happy for you. Baby Lenny, Auntie Nik is ready to give you all the snuggles," Nikki Reed, who played Rosalie in the vampire romance film series, commented.
"Congratulations guys!!" added Mackenzie Foy, who played Renesmee.
"She's perfect," Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper chimed in.
The Lautners announced they were expecting earlier in March and revealed that they were having a girl in June.
Before they had baby Lenny, Tay was asked on the Call Her Daddy podcast if they considered naming the child Taylor.
"It may be in the mix," she said. "We will find out when the baby comes."
"I feel like if I don't name my baby Taylor, the internet's literally gonna cancel me. I'm gonna get canceled," Tay quipped.
The registered nurse added that they mulled naming the baby after them if it were a boy. "We used to always joke that if we're having a boy, we'd name him Taylor and call him T.J.," she said.
The Twilight star and his wife exchanged vows in November 2022 in California. They met while Taylor was on hiatus from acting, with his sister introducing them.
