Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky's baby girl's name revealed
Lady Gaga and her fiancé, entrepreneur Michael Polansky, had a baby girl whose name was inspired by music.
PEOPLE Magazine reported that the pop star and Polansky welcomed a baby named Rose Bean, per the documents obtained by the outlet.
A source told the outlet that the name Rose is inspired by the song La Vie En Rose, which she performed as Ally in the 2018 movie A Star Is Born. The singer also has a large spine tattoo featuring a single long-stemmed rose alongside the words “la vie en rose” in script.
Meanwhile, the second name Bean is likely a nod to activist Carl Bean, who inspired Gaga’s song Born This Way, per the source.
The outlet said representatives for the couple have yet to comment on the baby’s sex or name.
On Sept. 11, it was reported that the 16-time Grammy winner and her fiancé welcomed a child.
“She always wanted to be a mom. This was something very important to her,” the insider close to the Abracadabra hitmaker told PEOPLE. TMZ reported that the couple welcomed their first child via a surrogate on June 9.
Multiple outlets reported that the family of three was spotted during an outing in Northern California, with Gaga carrying the infant close to her chest as she and Polansky took a stroll.
The rare sighting comes after Gaga spent much of the past few months away from the spotlight after wrapping her Mayhem Ball tour in April after nearly nine months and 86 shows across the world.
"She hasn't really gotten to have a private life since she was like 22 ... she's been laying low since the tour ended," the source said, adding that "everything is good."
Gaga and Polansky started dating in 2019 and became engaged in 2024, and the source described Polansky's presence in Gaga's life as an "amazing biodome of love" that "seems like a really safe place for her."
Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, rose to fame with her 2008 debut album The Fame, which spawned hits including Just Dance and Poker Face. She has since become one of pop music’s biggest stars, while also building an acting career with roles in A Star Is Born and Joker: Folie à Deux.
