Familiar faces made sure to be with Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo as they tied the knot at a civil wedding in Quezon City.
A little over a month after they announced their engagement, Zanjoe wrote a birthday greeting for Ria, calling her his "wife."
"03.23.24," the actor captioned. "Happy Birthday MY WIFE."
The photos shared on Instagram on March 25 included snaps of their wedding. Ria wore a flowy off-shoulders boat neck white gown with a pair of nude heels while Zanjoe donned a black suit jacket over a white long-sleeved shirt and black trousers.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte served as the officiant at the wedding on March 23.
The reception was attended by their nearest and dearest in showbiz, who celebrated the upcoming chapter of the couple's lives.
Among the celebrities spotted at the affair were couple Jane Oineza and RK Bagatsing, Enchong Dee, Dominic Ochoa, and Ria's sister-in-law, Maine Mendoza.
Gela Atayde, Ria's sister, who will also star in the upcoming ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment series, High Street, shared a photo with Kathryn Bernardo.
Darren Espanto also shared a snap of him hugging the bride.
Pinoy basketball star LA Tenorio, meanwhile penned a sweet message to Zanjoe on his Instagram account, saying that he is "excited" to be part of the couple's married life for the next 50 years and more. "Masayang masaya ako para sainyo mga tol," he said.
In some Instagram stories from Zanjoe's sister Zaniejean, Joshua Garcia and Daniel Padilla could be seen singing Jopay by Mayonnaise.
Zanjoe and Ria announced their engagement on Feb. 20 after confirming that they were dating in January 2023. Rumors that the two were dating sparked in August 2022 as they were spotted going on several trips together.
Ria's mother Sylvia Sanchez confirmed that the two were dating in an interview in October 2022 but the couple mostly kept quiet about their relationship.
