Cristine Reyes now engaged to Gio Tingson: 'Endgame unlocked'
It’s official: Cristine Reyes and Gio Tingson are taking their love story to the next level!
On her Instagram account, the actress delighted her fans as she posted several pictures of her and Tingson during their trip in Hong Kong, one of which showed her flexing what appears to be an engagement ring on her ring finger.
"Every timeline led here. Endgame unlocked," Reyes wrote in the caption, adding an emoji of a ring.
In the comments section, many of her celebrity friends took the time to congratulate the couple on their engagement, including Alessandra De Rossi, Nikki Valdez, Dianne Medina, and more.
Romance rumors between the couple started circulating in 2025 after they were spotted together on several occasions.
According to film producer Noel Ferrer, the couple met during a grade school fair at Ateneo de Manila University. Sparks flew at a "marriage booth," back when Tiongson was in Grade 6 and Reyes was in Grade 5.
Tingson previously served as the chairperson of the National Youth Commission from 2014 to 2016. He later held the position of chief political officer of Sen. Bam Aquino from 2016 to 2018, on top of handling the Akbayan Citizens' Action Party in 2018 to 2022.
Reyes was previously married to mixed martial artist Ali Khatibi, having tied the knot in a private ceremony in January 2016 before separating in 2019. Together, they had a daughter who they named Amarah. In 2023, she dated fellow actor Marco Gumabao until they separated in early 2024.
