Marina Summers ended her journey in RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World as a finalist, making history as the first Filipina to represent the Philippines in the franchise.

The four remaining queens got to sashay and impress the crowd one last time in the show's finale episode that aired on Saturday, March 30 (Philippine time). They were also joined by drag queens who got eliminated in its previous segments.

For her eleganza look, Marina donned a stunning black gown with touches of blue and gold inspired by the biodiversity of the Philippine seas.

"You are so talented," RuPaul told Marina. "On top of that, there's a sweetness and a kindness there. You got this, kiddo. You were born to this."

For the lip sync smackdown, Marina chose Australia’s Hannah Conda to compete with Anastacia’s I’m Outta Love, where the latter won.

"Marina Summers, I'm sorry, my dear, but this is not your time. Thank you for an amazing season. You are and will always be a global phenomenon," RuPaul told her.

For her part, Marina said: "Ru, thank you so much for inviting this little Filipina on your big show. I am forever grateful, and my lines are open for another call. But, honestly, I know I made a lot of Filipinos across the globe proud and thank you for giving me this opportunity. I'll always and forever be your Filipino winner."

On her social media pages, the Filipina drag queen expressed her gratitude to her supporters.

“Maraming salamat, world. We fought hard on this one,” she wrote on X

In a separate post, she described her journey as a “magical” one.

“We might have not liked my ending, but I had the best time with my lovely [Drag Race UK] girls! I am so so so damn honored to be part of this amazing show!” she said.

“Philippines, Asia, World, thank you so much for giving this little Filipina a BIG chance to win your hearts. This was such a magical run for me and I couldn’t be anymore prouder! I will always and forever be, your Filipina Winnah,” she added.

Marina described her Drag Race UK vs The World journey as a "magical" one.

In the post, she shared photos of her wearing a bedazzled black gown by Leo Almodal, giving a sultry look in the backless part with intricate embellishments, which she said was a “Bomba 80s bold-star fantasy.”

United Kingdom's Tia Kofi was eventually hailed the “Queen of the Mothertucking World” for the second season after winning against Hannah Conda in the final lip sync battle with the song, Your Disco Needs You by Kylie Minogue. She will also bring home a cash prize worth £50,000 (P3.5 million).

Meanwhile, Arantxa Castilla-La Mancha of Spain was chosen by the queens as the season’s Miss Congeniality.

The Filipina drag queen earned three RuPeter Badges this season.

Among her notable appearances on the show were her AmaFilipina performance, her take on Maymay Entrata's Amakabogera, and the group performance Seven: Confessions of a Drag Queen, inspired by the hit comedy musical show Six.

RuPaul also previously applauded her, stressing how she makes not just the Philippines, but the whole drag community, proud.

"Marina Summers, you were born to be on stage. You were born to do drag,” the drag queen said.

Marina is the first drag queen from the Philippine franchise to compete in an international scene. She was a runner-up to Precious Paula Nicole in the first season of Drag Race Philippines, which aired in 2022.
