Kyle "Kulas" Jennerman, known for his vlog BecomingFilipino, is now married to his Pinay social entrepreneur partner, Therine Diquit.

The Canadian content creator shared photos of his recent nuptials in Maragondon, Cavite which took place on July 20.

"This moment, kneeling on the altar, with rings on our finger, and marriage contact in [our] hands... what a feeling!" Kyle wrote in the caption of one of his posts. "It has been an incredible [eight] year journey for us... but truly this is a journey that has only just begun."

The vlogger added that he was filled with joy when the photographer asked them to show their rings for a picture.

"Just holding the marriage certificate... in the end, I have to say I enjoyed the process. Gathering the paperwork, filing for the contract, having a seminar. In the end, it just validated that this was exactly where I wanted to be. Side by side, leaping into forever... with the one I love," he said.

Their wedding followed a traditional Filipiniana theme and was held in a Cavite church. The altar was decorated with white chrysanthemums and baby's breath, pink daisies, and blue hydrangeas.

The couple both donned Francis Libiran outfits: Kyle wore a stylish white barong with embroidered designs of the sun and the Canada maple leaf, while Therine donned a Filipiniana with a long train and bamboo pattern and leaves embroidery.

The barong, according to Kyle, was made with silk from Northern Mindanao, his first home in the Philippines. He added that when he popped the question to Therine, he knew he wanted to wear a barong for their wedding. His look is completed with a red, white, and blue headband.

Meanwhile, Therine's gown was made from lyocell and bamboo handwoven by the SM Sunrise Weaving Association from Ibaan, Batangas.

Their shoes, white oxfords and heels with a bow, were also locally made by Doreen Odvina.

Kyle also flew his parents in for the wedding, and they also wore classic Filipino attire.

The vlogger revealed that he and Therine were dating in 2017. They got engaged earlier in January 2024. Therine is a social entrepreneur who's the founder of Likhang Maragondon, an enterprise with products crafted with weaving and bamboo.

In September of 2023, the Canadian vlogger finally became a Filipino citizen after the Senate affirmed House Bill 7185 granting his citizenship. He first visited the Philippines in 2013 while still employed in Hong Kong and later decided to move to Cagayan de Oro in 2015.

He then started his YouTube channel "BecomingFilipino" where he travels to rural parts of the country, immersing himself in the culture.
