WATCH: Heart Evangelista shares video recap of vow renewal with Chiz Escudero
Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero shared a glimpse of what went down at their recently concluded vow renewal ceremony, bringing not just kilig, but also tears to our eyes.
The two celebrated their ninth anniversary as a married couple by tying the knot anew on Thursday, Feb. 15 at Balesin Island. On Saturday, Feb. 17, the local star shared a video recap helmed by Bob Nicolas and his team.
“Wedding vows renewal recap!" she wrote in the caption, calling Chiz her "greatest blessing."
The clip showed the two preparing for the wedding as well as some clips from Heart’s birthday celebration on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.
Making it even more special, the video also included some footage of their first wedding in 2015 at the same venue, including Chiz’s bonding with his twins Chesi and Quino from his previous relationship.
The video also showed a side-by-side look of when Heart walked down the aisle during their wedding in 2015 and the one that took place earlier this week.
In the highlight video, Heart can also be seen sharing a touching moment with her mom, Cecilia Ongpauco, before she walked her down the aisle.
"So happy for her, and I'm happier because I'm around to witness this," Cecilia said.
"Finally, I arrived," she told Heart. "Nine years too late, but made it still."
In case you didn’t know, Heart previously revealed that her parents skipped her wedding with Chiz in 2015 as they did not want her to be in a relationship with the politician.
The video recap also showed portions of the couple’s vows to each other, where Heart can be seen turning emotional while delivering her speech.
“Still seems like it’s actually my first, and I do truly believe it’s actually my first time, because I knew what love was before, but now I know what love should be,” she said.
“How my life would've been if you weren’t around; You are not just a husband, but you are the greatest angel there is,” Heart told Chiz.
“I sold my soul, and you bought it back for me. You soften all the edges, you rearrange the stars and you have brought it down to where I am,” she added.
For his part, Chiz said, “I promise that I will stand by your side, and I promise to love you as I grow much much older.”
“I love you and I always will,” he added.
Heart and Chiz first tied the knot in 2015 after dating for three years. The vow renewal ceremony came almost two years after breakup speculations between them spread on social media for months. The rumors began in 2022 when the actress removed “Escudero” from her Instagram name. They circulated even further after she admitted she was going through some “personal struggles” and revealed she bought her own place in Paris.
She indirectly shut down the rumors in December of the same year by posting a photo of herself with the caption: “Walking around Paris before heading home for New Year. P.S. See you soon, @escuderochiz.”
The couple welcomed 2023 as a couple and have since been spotted in several locations together.
