Sharon Cuneta turned emotional as she opened up about the ongoing rift among her children, saying that her only Christmas wish this year is “peace of mind.”

The Megastar talked about her family's situation during her guest appearance in Magandang Buhay on Friday, Dec. 22. Hosts Melai Cantiveros and Regine Velasquez opened up the topic when they talked about their fondest memories with their families. Cuneta, for her part, looked back on the Christmas she spent with her late parents.

“I miss my mom and dad, kasi ang saya saya ng buhay ko nung bata ako,” she said, adding, “Gusto kong maging bata ulit, gusto kong maalagaan ulit.”

She was then asked if there is a certain Christmas memory she wants to relive to make it more special and happier, Cuneta paused for a moment and said that she's hoping to go back to the time when she spent it with all of her four children—KC, Kakie, Miel, and Miguel.

"Bukod sa childhood Christmases ko, 'yung kumpleto 'yung mga anak ko [tuwing Pasko]. Kasi first time si KC magki-Christmas sa papa niya (Gabby Concecion) this year. So, first time sa tanang buhay ko at tanang buhay niya na hindi ko siya kasama,” she said.

“Kasi first time naman nila so it's okay,” she continued. “Siyempre ano lang, anuman ang sabihin [nila], anak ko 'yun.”

“Apat ang anak ko eh, hindi tatlo," the Megastar said, sharing that her children are currently not on good terms with each other.

"May mga tampu-tampuhan silang magkakapatid. Wish ko maayos naman bago ako mamatay," she tearfully said. "Normal naman yata 'yun.”

Without getting into much detail, she added, “Ang dami kasing nagpapanggap na alam nila ‘yung tunay na storya, wala naman silang alam. [At] siyempre 'no, ako ‘yung nagdadala.”

The actress-singer was also asked about her Christmas wish this year, to which she answered “Peace.”

“Peace. Peace of mind for me, tsaka gusto ko lang makahinga,” she said. “Hindi ko ma-explain, hindi ko masabi, alam ni Reg [na] gusto ko lang makahinga.”

The Megastar has been sharing posts about her love for her family, expressing how much she misses seeing them together. Her children made headlines this year when KC unfollowed her stepsister Frankie and her stepfather, Kiko Pangilinan, for her “peace of mind.”

"I unfollowed, but I will never unlove. Family is family," KC said during her interview in Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.

KC, in another interview, stressed her immense love for her mom, saying that she's hoping they could be “best friends again.” The two were able to reunite during the momentous Dear Heart concert with Gabby.

KC is the only daughter of Sharon with Gabby. The former pair tied the knot in 1984, three years after the premiere of their film, Dear Heart. They welcomed KC a year later but got legally separated in 1987. Their marriage was annulled in 1993.

Sharon is now married to Kiko Pangilinan (with three kids Frankie, Miel, and Miguel), while Gabby is now with Genevieve Gonzales.
