Sharon Cuneta revealed why her firstborn, KC Concepcion, did not attend the premiere night of her MMFF entry Family of Two last weekend.

The Megastar recently shared in an Instagram post the official trailer of her film with Alden Richards, as well as glimpses of what went down at the screening event attended by their fans, her husband Atty. Kiko Pangilinan and daughter Miel, as well as personalities like Ara Mina and Jessica Soho.

Some social media users, however, were quick to notice that KC—Sharon's daughter with her former reel and real-life partner Gabby Concepcion—was absent at the premiere.

“Why [KC Concepcion] and [Gabby Concepcion] were not there?” an Instagram user asked in the comments section, to which Sharon revealed that she invited the former a week prior, but she “didn’t text [her] back.”

Sharon and KC were last seen together in October during the Megastar's reunion concert with Gabby, which KC described as a “fairytale come true.”

“I always say, ’To others, this is a show. But to me, this is my life,’” she said in her vlog on Oct. 30.

The momentuous night also gave the Megastar a chance to apologize to KC for not being able to give her a complete family. "Sorry, KC. We couldn't give you that complete family," she said onstage. "But you have two families. Papa and I never stopped loving you. You were never the problem."

Sharon and Gabby tied the knot in 1984, three years after the premiere of Dear Heart. They welcomed KC a year later, but got legally separated in 1987. Their marriage was annulled in 1993.

Sharon is now married to former senator Kiko Pangilinan, while Gabby is now with Genevieve Gonzales.
