Philippine bet Anna Lakrini concluded her Miss Globe 2023 journey as second runner-up.

During the question-and-answer segment of the grand coronation night held on Nov. 18 (Philippine time) in Albania, Lakrini was asked by one of the judges about her favorite life motto.

To which, Lakrini answered, "My favorite life quote would be to always enjoy the moment, ‘cause you never know when it’s too late. I am very happy that my family is here, actually, because I haven’t seen them in two years."

"And you know, it’s always important to live in the moment, live ‘cause you never know when it’s too late, and I think COVID really showed us to really enjoy each and every single second with family members, loved ones, or just friends," she continued.

Malaysia's candidate Manvin Khera, meanwhile, emerged as the winner of the pageant's 20th edition. Her victory came after being asked during the Q&A portion about the one lesson she learned as a child that still affects her life.

"I believe that failure is a key to success and every time I fail, I always tell myself 'Manvin, you're gonna and go out there and put yourself out there.' Because I believe when you fall 7, you stand up 8, and then you do that, you become unstoppable and unbeatable," Khera responded.

Khera will now take over the reign of Anabel Payano of the Dominican Republic.

Katia Agbodo Rodriguez of Spain as first runner-up, ahead of Lakrini. They were followed by Duru Esther Chidera of Nigeria as third runner-up and Kirstin Yvonne Bangs of USA as fourth runner-up.

The Philippines was previously represented by Chelsea Fernandez during Miss Globe 2022, where she finished in the Top 15. If Lakrini had won, it would've been the country's third Miss Globe crown, after Ann Lorraine Colis in 2015 and Maureen Montagne in 2021.
