Philippines' Chelsea Fernandez ended her journey to the Miss Globe 2022 crown by earning a place in the Top 15.

The Filipina beauty queen who is Tacloban City's pride and joy joined the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant in July and became the country's bet for the 2022 edition of Miss Globe held in Albania on Sunday, Oct. 16 (local time).

During the competition's national costume segment, Chelsea channeled her inner mermaid when she donned an ensemble designed by Francis Lee that is inspired by the beautiful "Magindara" creature from Bicolano mythology.

Meanwhile, for the evening gown portions, Chelsea stunned the crowd in a fiery red gown for the first half of the segment, and then donned a green one in the second part.

The coronation night concluded with Anabel Payano of the Dominican Republic winning the title after besting candidates from Vietnam, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, and Albania in the final round. She was crowned by the Philippines' reigning titleholder Maureen Montagne.

While she did not take home the crown for the Philippines, Chelsea still made the country proud after winning Miss Globe’s Head-to-Head Challenge, where the queens talked about their respective advocacies.

On Instagram, the Binibining Pilipinas organization congratulated Chelsea for her achievement.

"Congratulations our dearest Binibining Chelsea Fernandez for finishing Miss Globe 2022 on Top 15 placement! Thank you for representing the Philippines and for making us all proud. You did very well," the organization wrote.
