Philippines' Gabrielle Basiano concluded her journey to the Miss Intercontinental 2022 crown in the Top 20.

The Filipina beauty queen hailing from Borongan, Eastern Samar joined the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant in July and became the country's representative for the recently concluded pageant held in Egypt.

During the competition's national costume segment, Gabrielle flaunted her Ibong Adarna-inspired ensemble featuring a gray outfit and a colorful bird figure designed by Ken Batino.

For the evening gown competition, the Filipina beauty stunned in a gown crafted by Batino and Jevin Salaysay, who took inspiration from the iconic Pinoy comic book villainess Valentina. The ensemble is composed of gold and blue ombre capped off with chains, turquoise, and silver Swarovski crystal chains.

Aspiring queens from Germany, Puerto Rico, Nigeria, Vietnam, Brazil, and Venezuela made it to the final round, but it was Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc from Vietnam who bagged the highly coveted title, besting 70 other candidates and taking home the first Miss Intercontinental crown for her homeland.

Puerto Rico’s Mariela Pepin ended her journey as first runner-up, while South America's Tatjana Genrich came in second.

Africa's Joy Raimi Mojisola placed as third runner-up, followed by Miss Intercontinental Europe Tatjana Genrich as fourth runner-up, and Venezuela’s Emmy Marianne Carrero Mora as fifth runner-up.
