Donita Rose says her husband Felson Palad is an answered prayer: 'Sana maging virgin ang asawa ko. Natupad!'
Former Umagang Kay Ganda host and MTV Asia VJ Donita Rose considers her husband Felson Palad an answered prayer.
The TV personality turned corporate chef opened up about the beginnings of her relationship on the March 5 episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. She began by sharing how she had a prayer list of what she wanted in the next man she would call her husband.
"Sabi ko pwedeng pastor, pwedeng worship leader, dapat Pinoy or at least half. Dapat gwapo siyempre, dapat matangkad pa sa akin, dapat siya 'yung magiging breadwinner kasi marami akong pinagdaanan doon. Dapat nakakatawa," Donita told Boy.
"Nag-joke pa ako kay Lord na hindi ko talaga akalain, sabi ko, 'Lord sana maging virgin ang asawa ko.' Natupad!" she added.
Donita shared that she was seeing someone in March 2022, posting a photo with Felson without revealing his full face. In April of that year, she posted a photo from Los Angeles fashion week, writing that the gospel singer was her "plus one." The couple got engaged in May 2022 and married later in September.
"When I met him and we started talking as friends, and eventually, we started dating. He says, 'May confession ako sa'yo. Virgin pa 'ko," she said in the interview.
The former MTV Asia VJ didn't answer her partner after what he told her, leaving him to think she was "turned off" by it.
"Sabi ko, 'Alam mo ba na 'yan ang prayer ko kay Lord, na hindi ko akalaing nakakatawa pala si Lord na kaya niyang sagutin pati 'yung small things," she shared on the talk show.
Before Felson, Donita married Eric Valderama in 2003 but separated after 12 years of marriage in 2016. They share a child, Joshua Paul.
