‘Itaewon Class’ actor Park Seojoon tests positive for COVID-19

Itaewon Class and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim actor Park Seojoon has been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to a statement by his entertainment agency Awesome ENT. 

“Before proceeding to his scheduled activity last week, [Park Seojoon] tested positive using a self-testing kit, so after carrying out a PCR test, he ultimately received a positive test on Feb. 19,” said Awesome Ent, as translated by Soompi.

Awesome ENT also clarified that Seojoon has completed his “three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine” and “halted all scheduled activities since Feb. 18” in accordance with South Korea’s COVID-19 protocols.

“[Park Seojoon] is taking the necessary measures to quarantine and receive treatment in keeping with the guidelines set by government health authorities,” Awesome ENT’s statement read.

Seojoon is “currently in the recovery stage and has no special symptoms,” as of this writing.

Seojoon is best known for his lead roles in K-dramas Itaewon Class, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, Fight For My Way, and She Was Pretty

The actor was confirmed to make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in September 2021, and more details will be shared soon.
