BINI among nominees for Best Asia Act at 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards
BINI is nominated for the Best Asia Act category at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA).
The MTV EMAs announced the “nation’s girl group” on Tuesday, Oct. 8 as among the confirmed nominees for the upcoming awards show.
The P-pop girl group is the only Filipino act on the list. Other nominees include K-pop girl group ILLIT, Indonesian singer Mahalini, Malaysian band Masdo, and Japanese girl group Sakurazaka46.

Fans can cast a total of 10 votes per day until Nov. 6 at 11:59 p.m. (CET). The winners will be announced on the MTV EMA’s official website and social media pages and will be broadcast live from Manchester’s Co-op Live via MTV on Nov. 11 (PH time).
Prior to this, BINI earned nods in local award-giving bodies including MYX Music Awards and Awit Awards 2024, among others.
The group continues to make waves on the global scene. In July, they made history as the first Filipino act to ever perform at KCON LA 2024. They were also given the “Voices of Asia” award at Billboard Korea, alongside P-pop boy group SB19.
They likewise made it to Teen Vogue’s “12 Girl Groups to Watch in 2024” list released in May and just recently, were included in the “12 Girl Groups To Know Now” list by the Grammy Awards.
BINI is an eight-member group composed of Aiah, Sheena, Stacey, Mikha, Gwen, Jhoanna, Maloi, and Colet. They were formed on ABS-CBN's talent search, Star Hunt Academy in 2019 and officially debuted in 2021 with Born To Win.
