Kris Aquino is finally coming home "for good" in late 2024 after being in the United States for years to get treatment for her autoimmune diseases.

Her son Bimby shared a health update on his mom in a recent interview with The Philippine STAR, saying that the "Queen of All Media" is getting better.

"My mom is coming home for good in September. Latest is October. I’m very happy," he said. "She misses her family the most. She misses Tita Ballsy (Cruz) and her sisters."

According to Bimby, his mom is in the process of becoming healthy again. "Papunta na po (sa paggaling)," he shared, though he also noted it will take "hard work and dedication."

"The medicine is hard on her. Pero alam nyo naman po—fighter si Mama. She's strong," he continued.

Bimby went on to express his love for his mother. "She’s my world. She’s my universe. Tsaka iba talaga kapag kasama ko si Mama. I’ve seen her in her lowest of lows, in her highest of highs. And now papunta na po siya sa paggaling," he told The STAR.

This comes weeks after he talked to Ogie Diaz about how he's been coping with his mom's health. He told the showbiz columnist that it took him years to accept his mom's illness, admitting that there are times he feels "rattled" whenever Kris feels weak.

"Hindi ako Diyos, I can only do so much to alleviate her, to help her," he said.

"Pero at the end of the day, I can't fully take it away 'di ba? Kasi tao lang ako, tao lang si mama," he continued, adding, "All I can do is love her, support her, [and] take care of her."

Kris has been in the US since June 2022 for her medical tests and procedures for her several autoimmune conditions.

Her sons Bimby and Josh have been going back and forth between the Philippines and the US for some time now. They recently visited first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and brought her gifts including what appeared to be a small Hermes box.
