Folk-pop band Ben&Ben couldn't be any happier that they are one of the musicians to headline the opening of the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

In an Instagram post on the day of the event, Aug. 25, Ben&Ben shared a couple of photos where the band is all smiles while preparing for the songs they are about to perform at the Philippine Arena.

They captioned their post, "FIBA WORLD CUP OPENING DAY! [basketball emoji]"

"So excited to perform later! First time namin tumugtog sa isang basketball cup tapos FIBA pa [two crying emojis]," they added.

“See you later!!! LABAN PILIPINAS [bicep flexing emojis] #FIBAWC #SmartFIBA #WinForAll #WinForPilipinas” Ben&Ben concluded their post.

The band later shared a follow-up post wherein they promised everyone to give their all at the event.

"Dunno how we ended up playing for this world-class, historical basketball/sports event, but we will give it our best tonight," the band wrote.

Ben&Ben will be performing live at the 2023 FIBA World Cup opening ceremony alongside Sarah Geronimo and The Dawn.

While tonight's event at the Philippine Arena marks the first time Ben&Ben is performing at the basketball cup, this will be the second for Geronimo. The pop royalty previously performed on April 29's FIBA World Cup draw alongside Billy Crawford.

The 2023 FIBA World Cup opening ceremony is happening at 6:30 p.m. today and can be livestreamed via One Sport's Facebook page.
