'Dazed and Confused' actor Nicky Katt dies at 54

Nicky Katt, who appeared in the hit film Dazed and Confused, has died aged 54.
Citing authorities, TMZ reported that the actor was found lifeless in his Los Angeles home by his landlord on April 8.
According to PEOPLE Magazine, a spokesperson for the LA Police Department said that Katt died by suicide.
In a statement sent to Deadline, his sister Elise Ravenscroft confirmed that he was battling depression "bravely but quietly" before his death.
"This is a pain no family should endure, yet far too many do," she continued. "Mental illness is real, it is powerful, and it is often invisible. We hope that by sharing this, we can help break the silence and stigma that so often surrounds mental health struggles."
In Dazed and Confused, Katt portrayed the role of tough guy Clint Bruno.
He also appeared in other films and TV shows like Boston Public, Boiler Room, School of Rock, Friends, and A Time to Kill, among others. His last onscreen appearance was in 2018 for an episode of Hulu show Casual.
Katt married Annie Morse in 1999 before they divorced in 2001, per TMZ.
