Korean actress Kim Sae Ron passes away at 24

Korean star Kim Sae Ron, who became famous for her roles in films like A Brand New Life and The Man from Nowhere, has passed away. She was 24.

Citing the police, K-media outlets like Soompi, The Korea Times, and The Korea Herald reported that the actress was found dead in her home on Sunday, Feb. 16.

"We have not found any signs of foul play as of yet, but we are investigating the circumstances of the death," police said.

"We kindly ask for consideration of the deceased and the bereaved family and that you refrain from speculating about the specific circumstances and manner of death. We ask for your understanding that the police cannot confirm," they added.

Kim Sae-Ron made her acting debut in 2009 via A Brand New Life. She later became part of other movies like The Man from Nowhere, A Girl at My Door, and The Neighbor.

She also appeared in K-dramas such as Listen to My Heart, The Queen’s Classroom, Hi! School-Love On, The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim, Secret Healer, and Bloodhounds, among others.
