Kim Chiu doesn't believe in the idea of second chances in love and romance.

In an episode of It's Showtime's Expecially For You on Wednesday, Feb. 21, the Kapamilya actress bared her thoughts on giving an ex-lover another chance to make their relationship better.

"'Di ba nilaban mo naman, tapos nawala. Pero 'pag gusto pang bumalik, papayagan mo pa bang bumalik?" Vhong asked.

To which, Kim replied, "Ako kasi yung taong 'pag iniwan na 'ko... Ba't mo ako iniwan, 'di ba? So hindi na,"

The Linlang star, however, clarified that it could be different for each person still.

Today, iba sagot mo. Kahapon, iba. Baka bukas iba, diba?"

This came weeks after Kim made the rounds on social media when she turned emotional as her co-host, Vice Ganda, talked about moving on from a past relationship.

So mas madaling tanggapin yung lahat ng mga bagay," Kim said.

Kim confirmed her breakup with her longtime partner Xian Lim in December 2023.

The actress said the split was a mutual decision, adding that they're still hoping it could turn into a "lifelong" friendship.

Xian, meanwhile, penned a heartfelt letter for Kim, thanking her for their love-filled romance that lasted for over a decade.

"Dearest Kim, thank you for the long years we have spent loving each other," he wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday, Dec. 23, describing the last 12 years of his life with her as the "best gift [he] could ever ask for."

Kim and Xian, known as KimXi, began dating in 2012. It wasn't until 2018, however, they made their relationship public.
