Joey King took the kissing booth to Mallorca, Spain, as she said 'I do' to director Steven Piet.
On Saturday, Sept. 9, the director wrote a short tribute for his wife, while sharing snaps taken by Norman and Blake from their destination wedding last Sept. 2.
“Only in this moment can we discover that which is timeless,” he wrote in an Instagram post.
Speaking to Vogue, the Kissing Booth star said that she and Steven were looking for a place that is "unique and private and that felt grand yet intimate at the same time."
They chose to hold the ceremony at La Fortaleza in Mallorca, which she described as the "Spanish version of The Great Gatsby," with the help of their wedding planner Alison Bryan Destinations.
"It’s historic without being dated. It felt timeless, the same way we feel about our love for each other," she said.
Joey wore a white sweetheart cut strapless dress and large fabric flower-petal paillettes by Oscar de la Renta, while Steven donned a suit by Brunello Cucinelli.
Asked about what her favorite part of the wedding is, Joey said it was seeing all her loved ones together.
“The best part was seeing all our friends who didn’t know each other just melting into one another and instantly connecting. We are surrounded by the best people, and seeing them all together was infectiously joyous.”
The two met at the set of the Hulu series The Act. Joey asked the director out for a date during the wrap party.
In February 2022, they got engaged. Joy and Steven tied the knot after four years of dating.
