Klarisse de Guzman's GF reacts to singer coming out as bisexual: 'Naiyak po talaga ako'
Christrina Rey, girlfriend of singer Klarisse de Guzman, has reacted after the latter came out as bisexual in one of the episodes of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition.
"Sa tingin ko ito na yung time para sabihin sa inyong lahat and to tell the world that I’m not straight. I am bi [bisexual]," Klarisse previously said, revealing her four-year romance with Trina.
For her part, Trina said that she couldn’t be prouder of Klarisse for having the courage to come out.
“Super proud nung last night nung napanood ko. I can't help, naiyak po talaga ako. Finally freedom na naibigay kay Klang after how many years,” she said in her interview with ABS-CBN News.
Trina said that they did not really plan for Klarisse to come out, saying that she’s content that they are accepted by their families.
“We talked about it po bago siya umalis pero hindi po clear kung mag-a-out talaga siya totally. Kasi for me naman po okay na po ako na tago kami kasi okay naman na po sa family namin,” she said, adding that their families, and a few of their friends like singer Bugoy Drilon and Lizel Garcia knew about Klarisse’s gender identity.
“Siguro hirap na rin po siya at hirap na ring magtago. Kasi binabanggit niya sa akin na 'pag tinatanong siya hindi na niya alam kung ano ang isasagot. Dinadaan na lang niya sa jokes,” Trina told the outlet.
Trina shared that they met on Instagram after the singer sent her a DM. They became official months after they first met in 2020. Over the years into the relationship, Trina said that their journey wasn’t smooth sailing.
“I can say na-test rin po talaga kung paano kami as a partner. Kasi it wasn’t easy. We go out normal, we don't do super close sa labas,” she shared.
Trina first shared her reaction on X on April 2 after the airing of the episode.
“I AM PROUD OF YOU [Klarisse de Guzman]! I’m always here, always! I’ll wait u here sa outside world. Love Wins,” she wrote, with white heart and rainbow flag emojis.
“Baliko man o tuwid, yan ang mundo at walang mali sa’yo,” she added in a separate post. “Sana po ay patuloy niyong yakapin at mas mahalin ang nag-iisang KLARISSE DE GUZMAN! Keep on shining Our Soul Diva.”
Her housemates, including beauty queen Michelle Dee, expressed their support for Klarisse.
"Besides na kinilig ako for her, I feel so proud Kuya na I'm able to stand as inspiration and a source of strength to disclose something as big as that," Michelle told Kuya.
“Alam ko po 'yung fear, napagdaanan ko rin po 'yon. 'Yung fear na ang hirap din magpakatotoo nang ganoon dahil sa industriya kung nasaan tayo," she continued. Michelle came out as bisexual in 2023 after her stint in Miss Universe Philippines 2023.
