Raven Doctor chosen to represent PH at Miss Eco Teen in Egypt
Raven Doctor is set to fly to Egypt soon to compete in this year’s Miss Eco Teen International pageant.
The pageant announced through its Instagram account that the Filipina beauty queen is the "proud bearer of the title Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2024."
"She will compete on the international stage at the Miss Eco Teen competition in Egypt this October," they added.
Raven later confirmed her tilt as she reposted the announcement on her Instagram stories, adding an emoji of the Philippine flag as well as two hands making the shape of a heart.
She serves as the replacement for Hannah Uyan, who hails from Southern California and was announced by Miss Eco Teen as the Philippines' bet for the pageant. The organization has yet to provide a reason for her replacement.
The 18-year-old delegate isn't new to the pageant scene as Raven previously competed in this year's Miss Universe Philippines, where she represented Palawan.
Out of the 53 delegates, she was among those who made it as far as the Top 20.
The crown eventually went to Bulacan's Chelsea Manalo, who is succeeding the reign of Michelle Dee. After her, Cainta's Stacey Daniella Gabriel was named first runner-up. Quezon province's Maria Ahtisa Manalo is second runner-up, Baguio's Justine Tarah Marie Valencia is third runner-up, and Taguig's Christi Lynn McGarry is fourth runner-up.
Raven is now aiming to score her country its second Miss Eco Teen crown after Roberta Tamondong’s victory in 2020. Beauty queens Tatyana Austria and Bea McLelland previously came close at first runner-up in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
