No stranger to pageantry

The 23-year-old Filipina is no stranger to the pageant scene. Pinoy pageant fans may recognize her from her stint as Miss Baguio at the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 tilt.

Krishnah finished as a Top 5 contestant at MUPh 2023 and was named as Miss Charm Philippines. She was set to represent the Philippines at the Miss Charm 2024 pageant in Vietnam, but she announced her withdrawal from the competition last month.

A day after her announcement, the Miss World Philippines organization officially revealed Krishnah as part of their second set of candidates

“It was really hard for me. Ever since I was a kid, I was doing charity works. I didn’t realize that because I was too focused on the glam, the glitz, the gowns, but then I realized that I feel like my gut is telling me to join Miss World,” she said.

When asked why she thinks the judges gave her the Miss World Philippines crown, she noted that all the contestants are truly deserving, and that it was only a matter of fate and destiny.

“I think it was fate and destiny that brought me here [to the Miss World stage],” she shared.

A woman of many hats

In her Miss World Philippines 2024 introduction video, the multihyphenate shared she's currently taking up Civil Engineering and balancing her studies with her career as a model, content creator, and ad specialist.

She said she also has experience as an entrepreneur, a service worker in the fast food industry, and an ukay-ukay seller, which she also juggled alongside her duties as a student.

She opened up and shared that her family’s situation was “far from ideal,” and that as the eldest in her family, she had to “step up.”

“Although poverty seemingly limited my options, it did not limit my dreams,” she said.

In another interview, she stressed the importance of hard work and passion in unlocking success. “I believe if you are passionate and committed enough to achieve your goals, you will have the success that you’re wanting. It’s all about hard work and trust and prayer as well.”

An advocate of child and animal welfare

Children and animals are dear to the Baguio bet's heart. She even advocates for their rights and welfare.

She established the non-profit organization dubbed “Color the World with Kindness” in December 2022, where she takes part in activities for the good of others, including volunteer work, tree planting, and stray feeding.

Krishnah was followed by Tarlac Province's Jasmine Omay and Pampanga's Sophia Bianca Santos, who were crowned First Princess and Second Princess, respectively, at the Miss World Philippines 2024 finals night.

The event was hosted by Billy Crawford and Universal Woman 2024 Maria Gigante, with Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2021 Emmanuelle Vera and actor Teejay Marquez serving as anchor hosts. Special performances were given by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, Johnoy Danao, KAIA, and BILIB. Check out the highlights of the competition here.
