'Ungle Roger' Nigel Ng welcomes first child: 'And then there were three'
Nigel Ng is finally a dad!
The content creator, popularly known as Uncle Roger, shared a glimpse of his newborn with his wife, Sabrina Ahmed.
"And then there were three. After a week in the NICU, bringing you home today is the most special Father’s Day. Thank you to Dr. Connie Cheng, the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff at @huntingtonhospital for looking after us and bringing this joy into our lives. Also, a special thank you to @acu.by.jen for supporting Sabrina’s wellbeing through her entire pregnancy journey," he wrote.
"Somewhere I hear my Uncle whispering, put MSG on baby, it’ll be better baby, smarter," he quipped, referencing his famous MSG joke.
The couple announced their pregnancy in February this year. Ng and Ahmed exchanged vows in Sintra, Portugal, in July last year, with a three-day wedding celebration that brought together Malaysian and Bengali traditions, paying tribute to their respective roots.
Ng became widely known on YouTube as Uncle Roger, a character famous for his humorous reviews of cooking content and playful critiques of dishes such as egg-fried rice and Filipino adobo.
With his trademark "Fuiyoh!" catchphrase and comedic take on food and culture, Ng has built a strong online following, with over 10.4 million YouTube subscribers, 4.2 million Facebook followers, and 4.9 million Instagram followers.
In 2024, he entered the Guinness World Records after 388 fans dressed as Uncle Roger in his signature orange polo shirt and shouted his catchphrase at a gathering.
He has since expanded beyond content creation, opening his first restaurant, FUIYOH, in Malaysia.
