Kim Kardashian reveals that North West prefers living with her dad
North West has proven herself to be a dad’s girl.
In an episode of the Hulu reality TV show The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian revealed to her sister Kourtney Kardashian that her 10-year-old daughter thinks Kanye West is the best parent because he “has it all figured out.”
“North, she’ll go to her dad’s, she’ll be like, ‘Dad is the best, he has it all figured out,” the Skims brand owner said.
She shared that North often compared their lifestyles together, stating that her dad does not have a nanny, a chef, a security and lives in an apartment.
"And she’ll start crying, ‘Why don’t you have an apartment? I can’t believe we don’t have an apartment,'” Kim further recalled, detailing the parenting challenge she is going through as a single mom of four.
As opposed to the chefs and nannies that the reality TV personality has in their home, Kim shared that her eldest daughter also pointed out that she and Kanye make their food together when she’s over at his place.
Her older sister, Kourtney, shared that her kids do the same thing between her and her ex, Scott Disick.
“They do that at Scott’s too. Like, ‘Dad has the best house. Your house sucks. He has the best house, it is not super big. The vibes are better,” she told Kim, pointing out that “everything falls on the parent that is more involved.”
Kourtney further advised her sister to spend more time with her children doing regular walks or dinners, as Kim’s kids seem to crave normality over luxury. She also shared one of her discoveries that became a game-changer in her relationship with her children.
“I do make pancakes every morning and that has been a game-changer. They love it ‘cause we’re sitting at the table and they’re happier,” she shared.
Kim has also previously shared her parenting challenges on one episode of the On the Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast, where she opened up about days when she cried herself to sleep due to her struggles in parenting her four children. This, however, sparked a backlash among the online audience as they called out her failure to acknowledge the help she gets from her nannies, assistants, chef, and family.
Kim and Ye share four kids: North, 10, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4. The TV personality filed for divorce from her ex-husband after six years of marriage in February 2021.
Kanye is now married to Bianca Censori, while Kim is “genuinely okay with being by herself,” as she claimed on the Oct. 19 episode of The Kardashians.
